It's spring, I handed in the last piece of coursework of my degree last Thursday, and I have a few days left before I need to worry about studying for finals. Here are a few of the things I've been enjoying, so very, very much over the last few days: That the range in my kitchen, although I don't use it, still draws everything around it and becomes the centre of my home. I love wondering about the other people who were drawn around it in the past. DSCF3457.JPG

My new 1lb loaf tin, perfect for a one person loaf

Buying seeds and bulbs in the botanic gardens with my mum on friday and then carrying compost and my plants from her house to my flat. My arms almost fell off, but it's ok - I can still knit.

That the plants that I bought last year not only survived 2 moves and the winter but are now sitting on my windowsill - with buds. I might have crafty, nimble fingers but they are most definitely not green so the fact that these lasted more than a week, let alone almost a year is pretty surprising. DSCF3462.JPG

On saturday meeting up with some city knitty peeps, going to the Miso Funky fair and then discovering great new craft shops - one dedicated to beads (lady lawson st) and one to embroidery threads (the grassmarket). Finding, on my way home, that the intriguing looking charity shop near my house has lots of crafty things, where I bought these notions. They had a whole bucket full of zips for 10p apiece, maybe i should go grab some more.

That I've had time to read this and this.

And that now I'm going to go and try to buy some soil for my seeds, browse some more charity shops and walk in the sunshine.

Have a good Monday chickadees,
